It has been my inner strength that has kept me clear knowing that I wish to be treated as I shall treat others. A simply proverb that has held my life on track and led me here this night .
I hear tides pounding foreign shores and winds sweeping across barren plains.
There are vast plains that no road connects , just life on our planet that we fortunate humans observe and cherish and only have this moment at our disposal The winds crossing great plains this night hold messages for those who are listening.
It says we who were here once ate and lived in theses cities have no voice but the winds.Listen to the winds and know we heard them as you hear them.

“…It says we who were here once ate and lived in theses cities have no voice but the winds.Listen to the winds and know we heard them as you hear them.”
Oh man Jerry! Astounding! I wonder if there are very many people who actually LISTEN to the wind?
That is exactly EXACTLY what I hear in the wind of so MANY places I find myself in this world! Imagine the STRENGTH of those voices in a city older than recorded history! Voices that speak from the DAWN of civilization. WE WERE HERE.
Awe inspiring Jerry simply awe inspiring! And you know what. Once I had the strangest experience you can imagine.
It was out in Los Angeles of all places, a nice balmy night so having a convertible I had the roof down and was driving down one of the highways at like midnight on my way back to my hotel.
As I passed through the center of Los Angeles I heard the wind and it actually gave me an image in my mind that was not a GOOD one. And it seemed the voice I heard in THAT wind was “THE DEAD HERE ARE NOT HAPPY DEAD.”
And instantly I felt as though IN THAT WIND I was being showered with the ashes coming back to earth from the smoke stack of a CREMATORIUM! HORRIFIC!!
I pondered that for months until I was in another city back east and felt the same kind of wind blowing only THERE it said the dead of that city were Happy Dead. (I know that sounds simplistic and almost funny but I THINK what it meant was more along the lines of AT REST, CONTENT.
And as I pondered the CONTRAST between the two and why that may have been it hit me. The ONE city was an old establishd city where the dead joined generations of their own families and forbears in the earth. BUT the OTHER city was one where people had come there by and large ROOTLESS with many many dreams most of which NEVER materialized and when they died there was no one “there” to receive them or to lay them among (Here I think of the line “I AM LONELY FOR MY OWN KIND”) They did not REST there at all, in fact were many times BITTER and RESENTFUL that LIFE had been for them such a dissapointment followed by an eternity there in the place that really never was THEIRS. Eternal Strangers in a “foreign” land.
Anyway Jerry your insight is so vivid and poetic it just brought all that back to me. I TOTALLY get what you are saying and what you were feeling in the wind that night not so long ago.

We are all connected, Jerry. Indeed, what we do affects ourselves and others. Our energy is connected- through winds, through time, through experiences, and words. Thank you for reaching out and connecting so may through your words, art, experiences, and wisdom.

Last night the winds were blowing hard from the ocean and I heard your voice in the winds.Thank you Jerry.Pattie
Pattie
My dear friend
This night the air was mild I walked home from my school. The winds were steady and I sang looking up at the fast moving clouds, a soft song for the gifts of life we share .
God Bless You Pattie
Jerry you’ve become a poet! By the way I love your choice of music, we have the same taste! Take care,Carol
Many times we seem to forget the places we go, and see, served others. Also the more we are in a place the less we seem to see and enjoy what is around us. Great words.
