~~Season of Growth~~2012

Remembering our past, allows us the knowledge to plan for a new, prosperous future. This arrangement of my garden speaks to me of which plants, adapt to each section of the garden. A garden teaches me the need for patients in my life.

One has to tune into the rhythm of nature, which is within us all, learn for past errors ,apply this knowledge for a new season.

  1. Dear Jerry, the way you combine your love of sculpture and love of gardening together is so beautiful. Thanks for sharing them with us,always,Pattie.

  2. Jerry -I tried to place a post earlier but I don’t think it took. So I’ll post again–

First of all Thank you for being yourself- such a giving and loving person and thanks for sharing your garden with us. I am wild about it. I love the way you mix all textures-the pottery- the green plants and the sculptures along with that wonderful old wall that the roman soldier plaque hangs on. It all works together to bring such a feelings of calm- of peace.

I snatched one of your photos of your garden the first time you posted it (hope you don’t mind) and it has been the wallie for my computer from that day since.

My husband who doesn’t notice gardens at all said ‘now that’s a nice garden- so peaceful’ when he saw your garden on my computer screen. I think that was quite amazing that he too felt the peace that exudes from your garden.

God Bless you always Jerry–you have such a sweet spirit. I keep praying for you

    • Dearest `Kathy`
Gardening is a thrill for me, sharing the progress of each years growth is a joy. I`m actually honored that you have chosen a photo of the garden for yourself. You see I rarely have people see the garden,it is my little refuge,to find peace in nature.
Photos allow me to share the present day in the garden.
Please allow me to thank you for being my guest, dearest ~Kathy~

If you might send my warmest regards to those whom you hold dear, thank
your husband for the kind words,,

      friends forever,Jerry

      • Dear Jerry- You are a very wise man to keep your garden refuge all to yourself- and maintain as much privacy as you possibly can. It’s very important in the on-going effort to having a ‘satisfied’ mind to have a place where you can go to and have ‘me’ time and you can not be intruded upon by others.
You must have learned that life lesson from Big Edie- she has taught me so much and I never even met her. You are so blessed in that you got to spend personal time with her. What a wise lady she was.

I think you are so very giving to take time to share your life with all your friends on your web-site.
You not only keep a web-page going but you cultivate it with loving care and I think that’s awesome since I know you must have plenty of other things that take up your time.

Photos of your garden suffice for me and thank you for being so gracious and not minding that I use a photo of your garden as my ‘wallie’.
Oh and I also love so much the video you posted of your garden on Mother’s Day for Mother Darling. Gosh I really love that video so much!

I don’t have a FB account because I don’t have many dealings with the Inter-net but if I did have a FB account I would give your site an enthusiatic thumbs up! I was so happy the day I found your web-page – the Marble Fawn of Grey Gardens. You are still the same caring and humble person that came across on film. Don’t ever let life change you.

I passed along your words to my husband and he said you certainly had a talent for gardening- I concur and I must add that you have been blessed with so many talents. Your musings are like poetry and I love your sculptures.

My husband does think the Beale womean found the secret to living and had a beautiful life -and I agree. He humors me because he knows that I am obsessed with Big and Little Edie and I can’t help but love anyone else who touched their world- for the good- and you did.

God Bless and watch over you – I keep praying for you.
        your good friend- Kathy
