Dear Mr. Torre:
What a tremendous surprise it was finding your website. I am so happy to know that you have finally received the blessings in your life, that you obviously deserve. I happen to come across the Grey Garden's story when I saw a write up in the paper, in regards to the play.

Unfortunately I was unable to get to the play, but I went on line to find out more about the story, and I was fortunate enough to find the documentaries by the Maysles. The story of Grey Gardens impacted my life in a way I cannot articulate, other than to say, by the time I was fortunate enough to view the films, both Mrs. Beale Sr, and Little Edie had both passed. When I became aware of that fact, I was left with a sense of deep sadness. I was left with the feeling that the world has lost two of the most amazing women that had ever graced this life.

Like so many others, I was curious as to what had become of the you, and wondered if anyone had ever reached out to you, to hear your experience of Grey Gardens and the Beale women. Your attitude towards the two women during the filming of the original documentary was extremely touching. And, I could not help but wonder what wonderful stories had been lost, because no one had ever followed up with you.

Then I saw the short clip of you, while you were driving your taxi, and it was obvious from the clip, that at that time you were not interested in exploring your experience with the Beale ladies any further then what was already out there.

So you can imagine when I came upon your website how exciting it was to see what you had come to in life. Your work is amazing, and I am so grateful that your life has come to a place of great peace and success. I am sure you are very aware by now, how much of an impact your presence in the lives of these two amazing women, has brought so many people to come to care about your life and how it played out.

It is amazing how just a few seconds of film, had the ability to depict the essence of your life, and that fact that there was something just as special about you, as there was about the Beales.

May your life and work, be as blessed as you were, as such a young man, to Little Edie and Mrs. Beale Sr. I would love to hear about your work and possibly see a show if there is anything coming up in the future for you.

Forever grateful for your life, and how you have touched so many others for the good.

Most gratefully yours,
Robin F. Laurita

Jerry, just a shout out to you. I am really happy that you are sculpting and the work is fantastic. I am proud of you.
It is so cool that you have a site here and it is wonderful to see that you have so many advocates! You are a really cool guy and I wish you the best. I will be checking in from time to time to see your progressive body of work.
Your stone sculpture carries with it an element of the ancient past injected with an ambient modernism. Keep it up man!
